Why maintenance matters
A solar plant has no moving parts, but it is exposed to dust, bird droppings, heat, monsoon moisture and the occasional storm. Dirty panels produce less. Loose connections, ageing connectors and a failing inverter fan can quietly cut output or create safety risks. Regular care protects the yield you paid for.
What an AMC covers
- Panel cleaning at an agreed frequency, with safe water use and soft tools.
- Visual inspection of modules, structure, fasteners, cables and connectors.
- Electrical checks of strings, combiner boxes, protection devices and earthing.
- Inverter checks: fault logs, ventilation, firmware status and performance.
- Generation review: comparing actual output with expected output and following up on drops.
- Service report after each visit with findings and recommended actions.
Choosing a frequency
| Location | Typical cleaning interval |
|---|---|
| Homes in cleaner residential areas | every few weeks |
| Near construction, roads or open land | more often, as dust builds up |
| Large commercial roofs | monthly or as needed |
Monitoring
Most inverters offer an app or portal showing daily generation. A sudden drop on a sunny day is the signal to call. We can review the numbers with you.
Start with an inspection
Whether we installed your plant or another company did, an inspection tells you where you stand. We take AMC for plants installed by others too. Contact us with your location and system size. For more tips, read our maintenance and cleaning guide.
Frequently asked questions
How often should solar panels be cleaned?
It depends on dust, nearby construction, bird droppings and rain. Many Bengaluru systems benefit from cleaning every few weeks, and more often in dusty areas. We set a schedule after inspecting your site.
Can I clean the panels myself?
You can rinse accessible panels with clean water early in the morning or in the evening, never when the glass is hot. Avoid abrasive tools and avoid walking on panels. Roof access carries a fall risk, so use trained staff for anything beyond a simple rinse.
Do you service plants installed by other companies?
Yes. We inspect the plant first, tell you what we find and then propose a maintenance scope.
